The Good The Bad And The Ugly Of 2013

We have less than 48 hours to the end of 2013.The year is/was quite eventful in the lives of many especially in the entertainment industry. Some people cried,a lot laughed, some got richer, some got married and a few divorce cases were also recorded. Now lets take a look at some of the events that shaped the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

The Good (Weddings)

We witnessed a lot of celebrity marriages this year.Tiwa Savage got married to her music manager,Tee Billz Tunji Balogun.Peter Okoye made an honourable woman out of his long time girlfriend and baby Mama,Lola Omotayo.Tuface picked Annie Macaulay to be his lawful wedded wife out of the three baby mamas hanging on his neck. They had an elaborate wedding in Dubai.

Nollywood star,Nse Ikpe Etim got married traditionally to her childhood sweetheart,Clifford Sule.
Delectable Ann Njemanze after several years of divorce from Segun Arinze, also tied the knot in a quiet ceremony few weeks ago.
The Bad (Divorce)
Funke Akindele's one year marriage crumbled like a pack of badly arranged cards. And the saddest part of it was,People actually expected it to happen.
News filtered in not long ago that Nigerian female commedian,Princess, also called it quits with her husband of seven months.

The longest dating in the history of Nigerian celebrities came to an end abruptly a couple of weeks ago.Talking about Maje Ayida and Miss Toke Makinwa.Unfortunately, their relationship didn't see the end of 2013.Sad huh?
Sickness
Ngozi Nwosu and OJB Jezreel should be termed winners of 2013.They saw death in the face and still conquered it.How grateful can they be.
The Ugly (deaths)

A few deaths were witnessed. The one that hit me most was Goldie Harvey's untimely death. The most painful part was that people hardly gave her a chance to express herself.Goldie made a fashion statement that no one can emulate. We had just one Goldie in the industry. No replica.
Aside Goldie,we also lost some veterans in the entertainment world.Enebeli Elebuwa,Justus Esiri and Pa Fatai Rolling  Dollars.May their souls continue to RIP.Oh I almost forgot the young pretty yoruba actress,Bisi Komolafe who also died in her prime early this year.RIP.
